The Ruger American Gen II Prairie in Black Splatter is an optics-first bolt-action platform built for precision, versatility, and dependable service in the field or on the range. Ruger’s Power Bedding™ integral bedding block combined with a free-floated, cold hammer-forged bull contour barrel yields consistent point-of-impact and excellent repeatability. The smoked-bronze Cerakote finish on exposed metal and the textured splatter stock deliver a durable, low-maintenance exterior with enhanced grip that isn’t abrasive to clothing or skin.

Ergonomics and fit are user-focused: the soft rubber recoil pad with progressive geometry and removable spacer (adjusts length of pull from 13.75" to 12") make it comfortable for a wide range of shooters, while the installed low comb aligns well with magnified optics and can be swapped for lower sighting needs. Factory conveniences include a one-piece Picatinny scope base, 1/2"-28 threaded muzzle with thread protector, AR-style 10-round magazine, oversized bolt handle with a three-lug 70° throw, and a user-adjustable Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ trigger (3–5 lb) for crisp breaks.
